Baroness, the heavy metal band recently released a short teaser clip for their North American tour with Deafheaven and Zeal & Ardor. The metal band recently finished their European tour this past summer and will be performing in the U.S and Canada this spring. The tour will start in Houston, Texas on March 8th and continue until April 12th where they will have their last show in New York City. Deafheaven and Baroness will also be taking the stage at the Decibel Metal and Beer Fest in Philadelphia on April 14th officially concluding their North America tour.
The short fifteen-second video includes a snippet of their new song and features a clip of every band member. The new teaser reads “hear the rest of this new song on tour” followed by the band’s website. John Baizley, the singer and guitarist of Baroness sings a line of their new song in the teaser. The background of the song has a strong electric guitar tone and drum beat. The single line sung by Baizley is powerful and intense, drawing in excited fans. Flashes of white light frame the band members throughout the clip, contrasting the black background. The teaser is in black and white but features one important color, orange. The strong color scheme hints at what is to come and keeps the tradition of color from their past records called, “Purple”, “Yellow & Green”, “Blue Record”, “Red Album” and “A Grey Sigh in a Flower Husk”. The Consequence of Sound explores the teaser and states that the Pantone color codes, 871 c & 8 c are the titles of the new teaser hinting at the name of the new album. The teaser gives the audience just enough excitement without telling too much about the tour and what is to come.
