Join the dynamic duo Betty Soo and Bonnie Whitmore this Sunday at Threadgill’s! Hosted by St. Mattew’s, the two are a part of the Soul of a Musician Series, which aims to create an intimate environment for the community to connect with local Austin musicians. The 7-year-series is meant to be more than just a concert, but also a gesture of appreciation for local artists and their craft.

Both Betty Soo and Bonnie Whitmore’s music evokes a pop-indie-americana vibe, redefining their respective genres. Spring, Texas native, Asian-American singer-songwriter, Betty Soo has four solo albums, a solo EP, two duo covers albums under her belt. Joining her on stage, Ms. Bonnie Whitmore – who has three solo albums herself. A key difference between the two is  Betty Soo’s music resonates a more folk-y sound – yet both provide a refreshing rowdy rock feel to their homegrown music.
