Wu-Tang Clan Announce Spring 2019 25th Anniversary Tour Dates

25 years ago, a group of East Coast rappers from Staten Island transformed the hip-hop scene with their 1993 debut album release of Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), which included influential tracks like “C.R.E.A.M.,”“Protect Ya Neck,” and “Tearz”. This week, Wu-Tang Clan have announced a 25thAnniversary tour in North America, which sees the legendary rap group perform at a total of 14 locations. Additionally, the group have also announced European dates for the Gods of Rap tour, which will also have feature Public Enemy and De La Soul. The Gods of Rap tour will hit a total of 11 European stops at some notable venues like Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome and Wembley’s SSE Arena in London.

Wu-Tang Clan’s 25thAnniversary tour will begin on May 31, at the Freedom Hill Amphitheatre in Sterling Heights, Michigan, and will end on August 2, during an X-Games performance in Minneapolis, Minnesota. On the other hand, the Gods of Rap European tour will be starting earlier, beginning on May 10 at the SSE Arena in London, United Kingdom, and ending on May 27 at the Helsinki Ice Hall in Helsinki, Finland. One of the most iconic rap groups in history, Wu-Tang Clan are recognized for their members’ distinct personalities and musical styles. The 9-man hip-hop are also recognized as an influential force in the hip-hop industry, having helped launched numerous careers over the years. Recently, the group was honored by New York City, by having their group name attached to street signs in Staten Island. Speaking to the group’s prominence, in 2017, there was drama surrounding rare unreleased Wu-Tang Clan album that Martin Shkreli purchased for $2 million and threatened to destroy.
