Capitol One House Presents SXSW 2019 Night Shows Featuring CHVRCHES and Bishop Briggs

Capitol One House a favorite among SXSW attendees have blended speakers and live music for their stay in Austin. For their fifth year at SXSW, Capitol One will occupy Antone’s, as they once again will host daily keynote speakers with music acts in the evening for four nights during the first weekend of SXSW.

The first night, Friday March 8th, will be feature Bishop Briggs, who’s hit song “River,” hit number 3 on the Alternative chart with over 170 million streams worldwide. Before selling out her debut headlining tour, she opened for Coldplay, Kaleo, alt-J and Bleachers and her debut album Church of Scars due April 20th is sure to make a splash on all charts not just the Alternative chart.

The second night, Saturday March 9th, will feature SXSW alums CHVRCHES. CHVRCHES have grown into a global name over the years and last year their album topped Billboard’s Top Rock and Alternative charts. Along with playing at the Capitol One House, front woman Lauren Mayberry will also be a keynote speaker for this year’s conference.

The third night, Sunday March 10th, the Captiol One Stage will have a soulful feel when St. Paul & The Broken Bones take the stage. Their album, Half the City in 2014 reached to number 56 on Billboard 200 charts also hitting the charts in the Netherlands.

The final night, Monday March 11th, English funk/soul group Jungle take a detour from their busy schedule to return to SXSW to help close out the Capitol One House as it takes the stage. Continueing making waves on the U.K. charts, Jungle hit the Hot Dance/Electronic songs at no. 38 with “Happy Man,” last year. With tracks such as “Happy Man” and Heavy, California their funk influenced sound, their stop at the Capitol One House will be welcome with open arms.

The Capitol One House will take place Friday March 8th through Monday March 11th at Antone’s (305 E. 5th St.).

The Captiol One House is a 21 and over event that is free to the public.

Each night a RSVP is needed to attend the evening music shows.

Doors open nightly at 8 pm.

RSVP does not guarantee entry, so arrive early.  SXSW badges and wristband holders will have priority admission.
