COLLiDE has been taking over Rainey St. in Austin for SXSW since 2013 bringing over dozens and dozens of bands at different locations for day and night parties. They are back this year as they take over Rainey St. again with over 100 bands scheduled to play.
COLLiDE this year brings Dr. Martens as they present a three day party at Container Bar Wednesday March 13th through Friday March 15th with bands, dj sets, free tattoos by Michael Williams (just because they’re free don’t forget to tip), and if you’re looking to pick up some new Dr. Martens they’ll also have a pop up store.
Some of the bands that are scheduled to play will be Cherry Glazerr, a rock band from Los Angeles, who recently paired up with Saint Errant Brewing in Chicago and made their own beer (I think it should make an appearance at SX, while playing Wasted Nun off their new Album Stuffed & Ready, I’m just saying), Chicago hip hop artist Tobi Lou, whose melodies like Darlin, are perfect to listen on a relaxing day on the beach or in the back yard in a hammock and New Zealand’s The Beths that will sure to kick up the energy with their rock/pop sound, their song, You Wouldn’t Like Me, is probably the nicest song you can play someone to leave you alone when you are having a bad day and they wouldn’t get mad at you. Dr. Martens is making sure their three day party is full of high energy, good vibes and daring (if you want to get tatted on a whim) at Container Bar.
