Moon River Festival will take over the important baton of Tennessee music festival in September after Beale Street Music Festival. Hosted and curated by renowned musical act Drew Holcomb and The Neighbours, Moon River Music Festival will be a celebration of the music community and highlight the musical culture of Tennessee. Even this music fest is young as created in 2014, people love Moon River for the vibe: it’s a Mideast-style adventure in the sticky early summer and discovering music of all kinds in a laid-back environment. Located at Coolidge Park where people can enjoy the river view in Chattanooga, Tennessee, the two-day event tickets were sold out within 24 hours: where else can you find all the amazing folk stars on the same billing? The speed of selling the tickets implicated there is a growing affection in live music in the city.
Singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile will headline the festival. She just announced her massive 2019 tour and left an A+ performance at the 61st annual Grammy Awards stage earlier this month. Since the album announcement, four-time Grammy Award-winning singer Joy Williams is gaining more popularity and attention for her new solo album Front Porch. Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit announced a co-headlining tour for summer 2019 since 2016’s collaboration.
Brandi Carlile, Joy Williams and Jason Isbell and the 400 Uni are the biggest names in 2019, but fans will also be hungry for the likes of Goodbye Road, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Moon Taxi, Drew & Ellie Holcomb, The Wood Brothers, OHNNYSWIM, Josh Ritter, The Lone Bellow, The Oh Hellos, Rayland Baxter, The Band Camino, Sister Sparrow & the Dirty Birds, The Suffers, Devon Gilfillian, Cedric Burnside, The New Respects, Birdtalker, Lady Wray, and The Brook & The Bluff.
