Cold Cave Gets Dramatic In New Single “Promised Land”

Cold Cave, the darkwave Los Angeles group, released a new song called “Promise Land” just two days ago. The song is accompanied by a music video directed by Travis Shinn and Jeremy Danger.

The new track was mixed by Chris Coady and mastered by Bob Weston. It features the harmonious vocals of Amy Lee, Wes Eisold’s wife, who assists Cold Cave in the studio and on the road. “Promise Land” showcases Cold Cave’s synth-heavy darkwave sound. Listen to the new track below.

“Promise Land” follows the arrival of the band’s critically acclaimed EP, You & Me & Infinity, released in April of 2018. Due to their untraditional way of releasing singles and EP’s on their own terms in addition to a large number of releases, Cold Cave has become the face of the contemporary resurgence of darkwave and synth pop sub-genres.

Cold Cave started their 2019 North American tour in support of their latest EP on Thursday in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery. The tour will be played with a full live band including Eisold, Lee, Nils Blue, Ryan McMahon and Anthony Anzaldo. This is the band’s first return to their typical full-live band format. The band will be supported by Adult. and Vowws and by Psychic TV for a select date.

This will be Eisold’s 20th year of touring, a feat worth celebrating. His work continues to gain mass appeal and influence the underground art scene and popular culture. His vision has allowed the band to perform at world class museums such as the Getty and the Guggenheim in addition to shows with legends like The Jesus and Nine Inch Nails.
