Trio Massive Attack started their Mezzanine tour with a high intensity performance joined by singer Liz Fraser of Cocteau Twins in Glasgow, Scotland on Monday night. Together they performed tracks off the Mezzanine album “Black Milk,” “Teardrop” and “Group Four.”
Massive Attack’s three-month European and North American tour celebrates the 20th anniversary of their album Mezzanine. Released in 1998, Mezzanine marks Massive Attack’s departure from the sounds of Blue Lines and Protection into an incorporation of more rock elements. For many, it is considered one of their greatest achievements to date.

Fraser, singer of classic Mezzanine single “Teardrop,” performed with Massive attack in the opening show making it her first tour since 2006. Fraser rarely performs publicly since the Cocteau Twin’s end 20 years ago. In 2012 she did three concerts in London, her first ever solo shows, and first complete concert in 14 years.
