Dimebash, the annual event held to pay tribute to late Pantera guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott, took place on January 24 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. According to The PRP, this year’s event held much more weight, as Abbott’s brother, Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul, passed away last June due to heart-related issues.
This year, Dimebash saw rock and roll legends performing with one another and covering other legendary songs in order to honor both Abbott and Paul. Performers included Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters), Corey Taylor (Slipknot), Scott Ian and Charlie Benante (Anthrax), and Sen Dog (Cypress Hill).
