Legendary singer & songwriter Billy Joel recently made a big announcement regarding another tour set for 2019. Included along the tour will be Citizens Bank Park as Joel returns to Philly on Friday May 24th. Joel became one of the more well known musicians of his generation after dropping out of high school and finding a record deal a few short years later. Joel would go on to become one of the best selling solo artists of all time, and has been recognized for his insurmountable contributions to music with an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Joel’s concerts in Philadelphia have become an incredible popular draw over the last forty years. Philadelphia sports fans will recognize his banner in the Wells Fargo Center commemorating his 48 sold out concerts at just that venue alone, second only to Bruce Springsteen. He will also become the first artist to come to Citizens Bank Park six year in a row this summer, and will be given a key to the stadium in recognition.
