Nick Cave Reveals A New Bad Seeds Album is On The Way

Nick Cave is a Jack of all trades. He is an Australian musician, singer-songwriter, author, screenwriter, composer and sometimes film actor. The frontman of the rock band, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, he has done it all. Though music is at the heart of it all and there may be an update to when new music is in our future.

Fans, don’t you fret. According to Brooklyn Vegan, Nick Cave has revealed that a new Bad Seeds album is currently on the way of brought to the world.

The announcement came during a “Conversations with Nick Cave” event that occurred in Melbourne this past Saturday. During the event, which featured Q&A sessions with fans, Cave revealed, “We’ve really nearly finished a new record, I would say. And it’s an amazing thing in my opinion. I’m very, very excited about it.”

News of the new album first was initiated by Cave’s wife, Suzie Bick back in September of 2018. She spoke out on her website, The Vampire’s Wife saying that Cave wasn’t beside her and that “he is in LA making a new record. Some of his songs reveal themselves at night in his fever dreams. They are his Fever Songs. What lovely jobs we have.”

Cave’s last studio album was Skeleton Tree. Released back in 2016, a personal album, it was named one of mxdwn’s top 50 best albums of the year. Recently, he released a live EP of songs recorded at a Copenhagen show called Distant Sky (Live From Copenhagen) back in September of 2018.  Come back for more updates regarding the new album. Not only has Cave been busy in Los Angeles where he’s working on the new album, but he along with his recurring partner Warren Ellis are preparing to score an upcoming HBO docuseries. The Case Against Adnan Syed will follow the trial story heard on the popular podcast Serial.
