Kid Koala the electronic musician mastermind released a new song, “Lost At Sea” with vocals by Trixie Whitley. The song lures you in with lyrics, “I’m not afraid, lost at sea. Forget your power, forget the lies you tell yourself. the lies you tell yourself. Lost at sea.” Whitley’s voice has a high pitch which fades like waves lapping onto shore. The lyrics include her harrowing voice, “don’t think I won’t fight for them. I’ll fight for them. It took me years.”

The electronic beats coincide with the soft vocals in a perfectly harmonic style. The video shows images of what appears to be visuals at the bottom of the ocean, with glimmers of light that cascade and large bubbles that float in the deep and dark (almost black) ocean water. There is a flicker of green light that flashes in the dark sea as the electronic beats take shape in the background.

Kid Koala said in statement,“This is a song for travellers. Karina Bleau’s kinetic use of light in this video really captures that motion. She creates her effects in a real time, analog way. I think it fits the tone of the track beautifully.”

Canadian DJ Kid Koala recently announced his winter 2019 tour dates with the kick off in his hometown Montreal where he will preview new album, Music To Draw To: IO. He will be joined by Whitley the talented multi-instrumentalist from Belgium. The tour will also include special stage adaptations of his graphic novel Nufonia Must Fall. The performance is described as a mix of live Puppet Theater and video projection with an ensemble of strings, piano, and electronic instruments.

Kid Koala (Eric Sans) also released a song, “All For You” which he performed with Whitley. San describes the series as “an unfolding universe of wintry soundscapes and enchanting vocal journeys” written and performed entirely on an array of synthesizers, including many rare instruments at Calgary’s National Music Centre.

In November 2018, Visionary scratch DJ and producer Kid Koala announced the much-anticipated second volume in his Music To Draw To collaboration series. Music To Draw To: Io is 70 minutes of transportive music, featuring singer Trixie Whitley on six of its eighteen tracks. The album is slated for release on January 25, 2019 and available for pre-order here.

Whitley comments on the collaboration with San (Kid Koala), “In the making of Io, I discovered the depth of Kid Koala as a thinker, creator, and artist – a term I shy away from – with the incredible ability to invent artistic dimensions filled with uncanny characters. He has a director’s mind with the vision of an architect, who has created a beautiful sonic space for these wonderful and vulnerable emotions to thrive.”

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
