Al Jourgensen of Ministry Joins Kill The Noise In The Studio

Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen has been working with DJ/producer Kill The Noise on what they describe as an ‘exciting project.’ Jacob Stanczak, known professionally as Kill the Noise, is an American DJ and record producer from Rochester, New York who has performed at Coachella, EDC, Lollapalooza and Hardfest.

Ministry frontman Al Jourgensen, together with LA-based Beauty in Chaos  unveiled their new video for “20th Century Boy.” This is one of 14 tracks found on the debut album Finding Beauty in ChaosThe album features nearly 80 minutes of music, curated by guitarist Michael Ciravolo on deluxe CD and limited-edition heavy weight, colored vinyl.

Ministry’s album AmeriKKant, was released in March 2018 and featured heavy allusions to the current US political landscape. The band is currently on the road supporting their latest record, AmeriKKKantWhile it featured many lyrics that discussed Trump’s shortcomings, Jourgensen stated that it was not an “anti-Trump,” record, but rather an allegory for how the nation elected him. The video “AmeriKKKa” features colorful images, including The Statue of Liberty set amongst floating televisions with the message, “Do Not Stay Tuned” – the message clear as we watch footage of soldiers march by and fireworks morph into a nuclear cloud.

Jourgensen stated that the band is seeking to put out as much music as they can during the so-called Trump-era. He says, “I have to get as many albums as I can done while Trump is still president,” Jourgensen elaborated. “And then what am I going to do: write those crappy albums that I write while Democrats are president?”

Jourgensen says, “The last album was not an anti-Trump album, it was like the “how we got here” album. It kind of touched on what I was talking about with the [self-titled Surgical Meth Machine] album, how society has changed so drastically since social media because ubiquitous,” Jourgensen explained. “And in a Black Mirror, Charlie Brooker kind of way, examining the ramifications and permutations of what that entails. Trump is the perfect byproduct of the society we’ve created…”

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
