Wolves In The Throne Room are working on a new album while on their European tour through February 11 with stops in the United Kingdom, France, Finland and other cities. Tour dates and tickets available here. Wolves in the Throne Room from Olympia, Washington are made up by brothers Aaron and Nathan Weaver. They have released six full-length albums, two live albums, and one EP to date.

The band posted a beautiful photo via Instagram announcing they are working on a new album. The photo depicts a winter sun rising over frozen water which is near their studio. There is forest in the backdrop and it seems a very peaceful and desirable location to find the creative inspiration needed when recording. One of their fans responded to their post, “If you’re able (who am I kidding?) to capture this landscape’s energy into the new record, then I am beyond excited to hear this!”

The band said in a statement: “Century Media has brought forth so many killer albums over the years and it’s inspiring to become a part of this legendary metal label. We are writing what will become the seventh Wolves In The Throne Room album now! We have complete faith in Century Media to deliver our music to our beloved European Wolfcult. Onward!”

Century Media Europe’s head of A&R Jens Prueter adds: “I’m a fan since I first saw them at the Roadburn Festival in 2008. I love how they have developed their own identity of Cascadian black metal. The Pacific North West of Cascadia might bear similarities to the Norwegian origins of black metal, but they went their own path to create a musical vision beyond genre definitions, which earns them my biggest respect. I am looking forward to accompany them on their future endeavours!”

Polish metal band Behemoth headlined the “Ecclesia Diabolica America 2018 e.v.” tour in North America last October and November. The tour also featured Swedish metal act At the Gates, who released To Drink from the Night Itself last May, and Wolves in the Throne Room who released Thrice Woven in 2017.

Kelly Tucker: Originally from Los Angeles, I grew up listening to all types of music. My first concert was Aerosmith with Skid Row, then moved on to concerts with Metallica, Lollapalooza, Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden and more. One of my favorite shows of all time was when I was in college and someone took me to see the Allman Brothers play. I also scalped a ticket to see Pearl Jam and the amazing Eddie Vedder sing his heart out. My professional career started in 2000 at Nielsen Business Media where I was an assistant in a sales department and later got promoted to advertising account executive. When the recession hit in 2008 and the magazine was sold, I took a job at a call center and later got promoted to assistant to the CEO and COO of a global company. In 2017, I took a position at a pharmaceutical agency, and now currently responsible for coordinating meeting logistics for physicians and pharma reps throughout the United States. In my spare time, I work at Peace4Kids a non-profit in South Los Angeles and write screenplays in hopes to make a breakthrough.
