Spellling Explore A Funky Retro Dance Universe on New Song “Under The Sun”

It’s only a few weeks until the next LP release from Spellling, the experimental electronic artist Chrystia Cabral. Her second full-length album, it will be released on February 22, 2019 through Sacred Bones.

Today, she’s released the latest single from that album, a song called “Under The Sun.” The song is over six minutes in length and guides the listener on a journey through a variety of retro-influenced psychedelic electronic sounds. Vocals don’t show up until well into the song’s run time, wrapping you up in layer after layer of brilliantly-colored beats and instrumental melodies. By the time the chorus of the song rolls around, the chanting of “Under the suns” becomes an unforgettable earworm. Check out the new song below:
