One of the most interesting portions of the Chris Cornell tribute show came when a variety of singers and bassists performed with Audioslave. They ran through a selection of the group’s biggest hits, including “Cochise,” “Like A Stone,” “Set It Off” and “Show Me How To Live.” Audioslave was Cornell’s post-Soundgarden band, with the instrumental section of Rage Against The Machine – bassist Tim Commerford, drummer Brad Wilk and guitarist Tom Morello. Unfortunately Commerford did not perform, so in addition to using a plethora of rock-star vocalists to fill in for Cornell, they brought in a who’s-who of bassists as well.
Geezer Butler and Perry Ferrell played Morello and Wilk on the long-awaited first song from Audioslave, 2002’s “Cochise.” Next Juliette Lewis sang “Be Yourself.”

Other performances include Brandi Carlile singing on the modern rock smash hit “Like A Stone” – with Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney – and Tim McIlrath of Rise Against helped on “Set It Off.” Dave Grohl and Robert Trujillo came on for an explosive performance of “Show Me How To Live”
