Oakland punk band SWMRS gave out some big news for North American fans this last week. The band has added a US & Canada tour that will follow their previously announced European tour this spring. The trip will bring them to Philly on April 9th when they play at the Theatre of Living Arts. They will also be joined on the tour by The Regrettes, as well as Beach Goons.
This year has gotten off to a fast start for SWMRS who are just about a month away from releasing their fourth studio album. Berkeley’s On Fire, which sparked the idea for their upcoming tour, is set to drop on February 15th. So far the band has given us the title single in addition to the single “April In Houston which came out just over a month ago. The anticipation for the new project is sky high as fans are clamoring for their first full length release since 2016.
The Regrettes and Beach Goons are both fellow California bands who are off to enticing starts to their careers. The Regrettes impressed many with their debut album Feel Your Feelings Fool! In 2017, and then followed it up with a short and emotional EP last winter. Meanwhile, Beach Goons released a video for their single “Hunny Bunnies” earlier this week.
