It has been thirty years since The Cranberries first formed giving music that still lingers still in our hearts. With the passing of Dolores O’Riordan last year, the world grieved and the one year anniversary upon us, there is a light head. The band has announced that they will be releasing their 8th and final album entitled In The End featuring the late singer.
In The End, was conceived back in May of 2017 while The Cranberries were on tour. By the time winter rolled around the eleven tracks that would make up the album would be written by Noel Hogan and O’Riordan as well as demoing the songs. According to Hogan, “Dolores was so energized by the prospect of making this record and to getting back out on the road to play the songs live.”
Though, before the demos were shown to their record label, O’Riordan tragically passed away. It was only after getting consent from her family, that the remaining Cranberries got the help from producer Stephen Street. Street, who produced four of the band’s previous albums including Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can’t We? and No Need To Argue, would help finish the record.
Regarding the band’s concerns about the album, Hogan expressed that, “we knew this had to be one of the, if not the, best Cranberries album that we could possibly do. The worry was that we would destroy the legacy of the band by making an album that wasn’t up to standard. Once we had gone through all the demos that Dolores and I had worked on and decided that we had such a strong album we knew it would be the right thing and the best way that we could honour Dolores.”
In The End will be a sweet sendoff to O’Riordan not only her friends and family but to those who grew up listening to her voice. The music of The Cranberries live on and to have one last chance to hear new music by them is a gift worth having. Pre-order your copy of In The End by clicking here.

“I can’t think of a more fitting way to commemorate the first anniversary of her passing and to celebrate her life than to announce to the world the release of her final album with the band.” O’Riordan’s mother said, “She was very excited about this new album and was really looking forward to its release. I have no doubt that she is happy now and would be delighted with today’s announcement.”
