Lana Del Rey is a woman of her word. After announcing that she will be releasing the new promo single last week, she kept her end of the bargain. The singer has officially released the single, called “hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have—but i have it.” In the song, described as a “fan track,” the new track focuses on religion, family, being alienated and the misconceptions of being a celebrity. Rey shared a snippet of the track prior to it’s release via Instagram.
Del Rey is set to headline the 2019 Buku Music + Art Project, which takes place March 22nd and 23rd in New Orleans, Louisiana alongside A$AP Rocky, Ella Mai, and RL Grime. She also has some international festival dates booked for June and July, including Stockholm’s Lollapalooza with the Foo Fighters, Travis Scott and Bring Me the Horizon, as well as the Benicassim Festival in Spain.
The release date or full track list for her upcoming sixth album, Norman Fucking Rockwell has yet to be announced. The Jack Antonoff-produced album is due out in mid-2019, following 2017’s, Lust for Life. It is expected to include the two previously released tracks, “Venice Bitch” and “Mariners Apartment Complex,” along with the live debut of “How to Disappear.”
