mxdwn PREMIERE: My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult Wants To See You Make Cash with that Ass in New Song “The Chains of Fame”

Last week My Life WIth The Thrill Kill Kult announced 2019 tour dates and a new album, In The House of Strange Affairs. The album will be released in February and the tour dates will see them performing a series of dates in the Western United States in May. Today, we’re thrilled to be premiering the first single from that album, “The Chains of Fame.”

In typical MLWTTKK fashion, the song is a funky, raunchy and sinister electronic track with a throbbing bass and thumping kick. The song begins by begging the question, “How much cash can you make with that ass?” Then, the distorted guitars rip through the mix and you see the band’s industrial influence come into full view. Check out the song below:

A dynamic song, “The Chains of the Fame” feels like a much shorter song than its four minute run-time. Cinematic strings and unexpected audio samples during the bridge of the song lead to a futuristic bridge that make the long-running and mega-influential band sound as relevant as ever.

My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult will be heading out on tour in early May. The band has a trio of Southern California dates that are yet to be confirmed. This year marks the band’s fourth decade in existence, a remarkable feat for a group performing in a genre like industrial rock/dance. The current lineup of MLWTTKK is founding members Groovie Mann and Buzz McCoy on vocals and keyboards, respectively, Mimi Star on bass, Justin Thyme on drums and Arena Rock serving as the Bomb Gang Girl.
