InMusic Festival Announces 2019 Lineup Featuring The Cure, Kurt Vile and The Violators and Foals

The annual alternative rock music festival known as INmusic are starting to announce the list of artists that will perform at next year’s summer event. The festival has always been known as Croatia’s largest outdoor festival that takes place in Zagreb on an island called Youth Island, in the midst of Zagreb’s Lake Jarun.

The festival will be the 14th one of its kind, kicking off on June 24th and lasting until the 26th. On their website, the festival has listed just some of the artists set to perform, which include The Cure, Kurt Vile & The Violators, Frank Turner & The Sleeping Souls, Peter Bjorn and John, Foals and LP.

Just a few months back, indie-rock singer Kurt Vile released his latest album Bottle It In, his first record in nearly three years. The album was recorded among various studios across the states, with impromptu sessions at Tarquin Studios in Connecticut. The album has three singles released prior to its released, one being song called “Bassackwards.” The song contained layers of backward guitars layered on top of each other, with a combination of acoustic guitar and a moving beat of the drums. “One Trick Ponies” was the third and last single release just days before the album that had a country-rock vibe to it that featured a harmonica, guitar, and even the piano. There’s no doubt Vile and his backing band will be performing this full-length play at the upcoming event.

Oxford rock band Foals has been working on new music since the beginning of this year, after the announcement of founding member and bassist Walter Gervers left the band. As of recently, the band has confirmed their fifth studio album will be released sometime in 2019, either under Transgressive Publishing or Warner/Chappell Music. If the album is not released before the festival takes place, be certain that the band will be at least promoting new material at the festival.

Three day festival tickets and CampIN’ tickets have been made available through the website ranging from a price of 33 to 67 EUR. For more information, visit their website at https://www.inmusicfestival.com/en.

I want to take my writing and report on stories within the LGBTQ+ and Latinx community. In terms of music, play me a smooth jazz tune, an upbeat pop song, or an unheard indie artist and I'm sure I'll become infatuated by the music. I am always here to share someone else's story, to uplift a voice in any community.
