Electric Forest Annonces 2019 Lineup Featuring Alison Wonderland, TOKiMONSTA and Bassnectar

The well-known electronic music festival. Electric Forest, has just announced their 2019 lineup with over 100 artists performing from a wide range of genres. The ninth annual event will be hosted in Rothbury, Michigan for one weekend in June, from the 27th until the 30th.

The festival will kick off with their original muse The String Cheese Incident, celebrating 25 years in the music business and performing three times throughout the run of the event. Headliners for the festival include ODESZA leading on Thursday, Kygo following up the hype on Friday, BASSNECTAR taking charge on Saturday, and Zeds Dead ending the festival on Sunday. Other acts include the likes of Alison Wonderland, Daya, TOKiMONSTA, Gramatik, Quinn XCII, Bassnectar, and even T-Pain.

LA-based EDM artist Alison Wonderland made yet another impression on the EDM community when she released her sophomore album Awake earlier this year. Three years since her debut album Run, Wonderland found inspiration from her depression when creating her new album and featured artists such as Trippie Redd and Chief Keef to help contribute and emulate the raw feelings she expressed in her lyrics. There’s no doubt she’ll be performing songs from these two albums at the show.

Bassnectar, a Bay area DJ, has also had a successful year after releasing his latest EP Reflective (Part 3), the third installment in the Reflective series he’s been working on since 2017. The song “FSOSF” off the EP has a futuristic, trap feel to it with a lot going on, but worth the listen. The track “High” is the standout track with a huge bass and moody melodies, it ends up sounding like Bassnectar remixed the track with a song from Purity Ring. There’s no doubt this DJ will be performing some songs from the Reflective series and newer material.

I want to take my writing and report on stories within the LGBTQ+ and Latinx community. In terms of music, play me a smooth jazz tune, an upbeat pop song, or an unheard indie artist and I'm sure I'll become infatuated by the music. I am always here to share someone else's story, to uplift a voice in any community.
