2019 will mark the festival’s 17th consecutive year, making it one of the biggest and most popular yearly music festivals in Poland. This past year boasted performances from Bruno Mars, Depeche Mode, Gorillaz, and Arctic Monkeys. In previous years the lineup has featured The Weeknd, LCD Soundsystem, Alt-J, Queens of the Stone Age and James Blake to name a few.
2019 performer Robyn recently released her much anticipated new album Honey, which mxdwn gave a high fidelity ranking. The new album is described as “Cathartic anthems for the dance floor” giving the singer the title as the “diva of dance pop.” She will be also making her rounds playing some festival gigs overseas, being most recently announced to play Finland’s Flow Festival, alongside Father John Misty, The Cure, and Tame Impala.
Vampire Weekend will also be playing a numerous amount of festivals in 2019 including Delaware’s Firefly music festival, Alabama’s Hangout Music Festival, and Spain’s Mad Cool Festival alongside The Smashing Pumpkins, The National, Bon Iver, and The 1975. Anna Calvi also released a high fidelity album this year titled Hunter. It is described “as a liberating mantra for all” and erases the socially-constructed line between feminine and masculine.
