MMRBQ Announces 2019 Lineup Featuring Evanescence, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts and Shinedown

93.3 WMMR’s annual MMBRQ Festival has announced the first round lineup for its 2019 edition, including Shinedown, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Strut and Evanescence. The festival is self-proclaimed as the Philadelphia area’s “Hardest Rocking Concert.”

The one-day festival, which takes place on May 18, 2019, certainly lives up to this reputation. Last year’s festival line-up included Alice In Chains, Ghost and Stone Temple Pilots.

According to the PRP, MMRBQ is returning to Camden, NJ on May 2019, and this year is set to see performances from Shinedown, Evanescence and Joan Jett and the Blackhearts.

The headliners have been busy this year: Evanescence has been on thirty-two-day tour this year with Lindsey Stirling across the United States and Canada and has a live DVD of Synthesis Live for saleJoan Jett and the Black Hearts are set to go out on the Tour: Red Hot Summer Tour a seventeen-date tour around Australia next year. Shinedown released their album Attention Attention! this year and are amidst a thirty-six date US tour to promote its release. Joining those bands are The Strut, Fozzy (the band fronted by professional wrestler Chris Jericho), The Glorious Sons, Bad Wolves and Jaxon’s Local Shots Artist, Siravo.

The MMBRQ festival performances start at 12.30pm on Saturday 5/8 with a second performance from Shinedown at 1:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $86 to $318.

Afrika Green: Afrika is British/American drummer, who graduated with a first-class degree in Music Performance from the Academy of Contemporary Music. In addition to drumming for the Pet Shop Boys she is currently working for Drum and Bass DJ, High Contrast and Becky Hill. While touring, she completed her memoir which she hopes will give a candid look into the struggles and successes she experienced during her musical career.
