93.3 WMMR’s annual MMBRQ Festival has announced the first round lineup for its 2019 edition, including Shinedown, Joan Jett and The Blackhearts, The Strut and Evanescence. The festival is self-proclaimed as the Philadelphia area’s “Hardest Rocking Concert.”
The one-day festival, which takes place on May 18, 2019, certainly lives up to this reputation. Last year’s festival line-up included Alice In Chains, Ghost and Stone Temple Pilots.
The headliners have been busy this year: Evanescence has been on a thirty-two-day tour this year with Lindsey Stirling across the United States and Canada and has a live DVD of Synthesis Live for sale. Joan Jett and the Black Hearts are set to go out on the Tour: Red Hot Summer Tour a seventeen-date tour around Australia next year. Shinedown released their album Attention Attention! this year and are amidst a thirty-six date US tour to promote its release. Joining those bands are The Strut, Fozzy (the band fronted by professional wrestler Chris Jericho), The Glorious Sons, Bad Wolves and Jaxon’s Local Shots Artist, Siravo.
The MMBRQ festival performances start at 12.30pm on Saturday 5/8 with a second performance from Shinedown at 1:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $86 to $318.
