Queens rapper Ja Rule posted on Instagram yesterday giving details of his latest tour, which includes a show in Lancaster at the Chameleon club on January 19th. The tour will kick off just before the new year, and include 16 stops. The show will be at 7:00 PM, and will be all ages. Tickets just went on sale, and start at $35.
Ja Rule has yet to release a full project since his Pain is Love 2 album which came out in February of 2012. There are however, a number of rumors going around about projects from the rapper. Ja Rule starting talking about his Coup de Grâce album, which he stated would be his final in 2016. Although that project has not come out, former collaborator Ashanti announced that the two were working on a joint album together. The two previously were together on tracks such as “Always on time” and “Mesmerize”.
Despite the lack of music in recent years, Ja Rule can certainly put on a show given his history in music. He was picked up by an A&R from Def Jam Records back in 1995, and didn’t look back afterwards. He found huge popularity in the early 2000s with hit albums Rule 3:36, and Pain is Love, as well as his largely public beef with 50 Cent.
