Savannah Stopover is a music festival set to take place in Savannah, Georgia on March 7-9, 2019. Various artists will be performing, including Deerhunter, The Joy Formidable and Lucy Dacus, The Bright Light Social Hour, Andrew Combs, Susto, The Beths, Bad Bad Hats, Ruen Brothers and many more bands. Part of the reason they call it a stopover is because many of the artists will be heading straight to Austin, Texas after Savannah Stopover for SXSW which takes place March 8-17, 2019.
Tickets are available now and range from $39.00 for single day pass to $69.00 for two day pass and $89.00 for Thursday night and all day Saturday and Sunday. There is also the VIP pass good for Thursday, March 7-9, 2019 with tickets going for $159.00 and includes a ton of perks. The VIP pass includes the opening night event as well as priority entrance, seating at Ships Of The Sea Museum, an invitation to The Stopover Artists’ Lounge, access to all private events and after parties, including an invitation to the Festival Wrap Up Party on Sunday March 10.
Artists who performed at the last festival included, Of Montreal, Wild Child, Larkin Poe, Acid Dad, Bat Fangs, The Bones of JR Jones, Cape Francis, Charles Fauna, Combo Chimbita, Crumb, David Barbe & Inward Dream Ebb, Escondido, FRIGS, Grandchildren, Gus Dapperton, Honduras, Illegal Drugs, Jon Stickley Trio, KOLARS, Liz Cooper & The Stampede, Lola Marsh and many more bands.
Deerhunter is a rock band with roots from Atlanta, Georgia and band members include Bradford Cox, Moses Archuleta, Lockett Pundt, Josh McKay and Javier Morales. They will be performing at The Lodge Room in Highland Park, Los Angeles on January 17, 2019 just a day before the release of their new album.
The Joy Formidable recently released a new album, AAARTH which is less pop-rock than their 2016 album Hitch. The Joy Formidable is expanding their sound by redefining a contemporary punk rock genre built on captivating musicality.
