Along with Brazil and Chile, Lollapalooza Argentina has just announced its 2019 lineup, with a roster packed with a certifiable stable of incredible artists.
The headliners for the event include Kendrick Lamar, Arctic Monkeys and Sam Smith. However, there are plenty of other big name artists that will grace the stage throughout the event, such as Tiësto, The 1975, Interpol, Macklemore and many more.
In addition, fans of electronic music will be able to see performances by the likes of Steve Aoki, Odesza, Years & Years, Zhu, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, and RL Grime.
The 2019 incarnation of these international Lollapalooza events also serve as the debut South American stages for quite a few of the featured artists, including Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone, Macklemore, Years & Years, Zhu, Troye Sivan, Rufus Du Sol, Jorja Smith, Lany, Greta Van Fleet, Parcels, and Clairo. Sam Smith will have his first experience presenting the British soul singer’s voice live to excited fans in both Chile and Argentina.
Lollapalooza has had a long and storied history as an incredibly innovative festival. Since its inception in 1991 as a touring festival, it was “the first festival to bring together artists from a wide range of musical genres on one bill, it was also the first to travel, the first to expand to multiple days, the first to introduce a second stage, the first to blend art and activism, the first to offset its carbon emissions, the first to put electronic dance music artists on the main stage, the first to create family friendly programming, the first to make its home in an urban city center and the first to expand internationally,” according to a press release.
