Legendary British rock band Rolling Stones will be returning to North America for a tour next summer. It includes a stop in Philly at Lincoln Financial on March 4th. The band recently wrapped up the No Filter tour in Europe, and decided that its broad success warranted a run on this side of the pond. It will be their first tour in North America since 2015.
The Rolling Stones haven’t been putting out much music lately, as their last release was Blues and Lonesome from 2016. That project was a cover album of various blues records from the past. There have been rumors that the band has been back in the studio and writing recently, but there is no word as to whether or not it will amount to another release soon. That said, the group even in their 70s now is showing no signs of slowing down and continues to talk about how much they love touring.
The Stones are known not only as one of the most prolific rock bands of all time, but also one of the better live performers. At one point in the early 2000s the band had racked up four of the top five grossing tours ever. This next one will surely be a can’t miss, so don’t hesitate to secure your spot. Tickets will go on sale at 10:00 AM the morning of November 30th.
