Torres Shares Previously Patreon-Exclusive Single “Two of Everything”

Easily one of the most underrated acts in the indie scene is New York City-based singer-songwriter Torres, the stage name of Mackenzie Scott. Over the last few years we’ve watched her evolve from a promising young artist to the powerhouse she’s become, culminating with the release of her chillingly stellar third album Three Futures. Proof that she’s incredibly underrated came last year when news broke that she’d been dropped by her label 4AD because she wasn’t “commercially successful enough.”

In September, she released a new song called “Two of Everything” on her Patreon page. Much like the arrangements on Three Futures, “Two of Everything” features a stripped back arrangements, placing the focus on the gripping lyricism and Scott’s breathy vocals. The guitars are kept to a minimum, with a lightly-arranged electronic beat serving as the primary instrumentation on the song. Check out the full song below:
