Marfa Myths, the annual multidisciplinary music festival presented by Mexican Summer and Marfa Ballroom, has just unveiled its 2019 lineup. The sixth installment of the event will be happening from April 25-28, 2019 in Marfa, TX.
The event is “known for bringing together a diverse range of emerging and established artists working creatively and collaboratively across music, film, and the visual arts” according to a press release. The initial lineup features a number of Texan artists, including 2018’s Musicians in Residence Deerhunter, Khruangbin, Cass Mc Combs, and many others.
This year’s Musicians in Residence are Drugdealer and Tim Presley of White Fence. Connan Mockasin will be the Painter in Residence, Cate Le Bon will be the Woodworker in Residence, and Natalie Anne Howard is this year’s Visual Artist in Residence.
Other musicians that attendees will be able to look forward to include chopped and screwed pioneers OG Ron C & The Chopstars, folk singer Jess Williamson, producer Jon Bap, synth pioneer Annette Peacock, cult artist The Space Lady, Austin group Money Chicha, Tim Hecker & The Konoyo Ensemble, Swedish prog legends Träd, Gräs och Stenar, new wave / postpunk artist Vivien Goldman, Egyptian artist Nadah El Shazly, and Emily A Sprague. More artists will be announced come early 2019.
