Former Slipknot member and drummer Joey Jordison recently revealed that he has some demos that he is sitting on, originally intended for the band. According to the PRP, Jordison recently sat down with UK’s Metal Hammer Magazine in its Slipknot-themed issue, stating: “I have a ton of Slipknot demos that I have at home. Maybe some day they’ll surface, maybe they’ll never be heard, but I don’t translate them to any other band, they still stay in the Slipknot safe. I won’t use them for anyone else besides Slipknot, if that ever happens again.”

In the same interview, he goes on to discuss his writing style and if he still writes music in the style of Slipknot. Jordison says, “Every time I pick up a guitar, I come up with different riffs, all different bands I’ve been in, sometimes there is a song or riff that could only belong with Slipknot and I just can’t use it for anything else, regardless of whatever happened. It just stays in the bank and I can’t use it for anything else, I just won’t do it.”

After leaving Slipknot, Jordison formed his own band dubbed VIMIC, along with former Scar the Martyr members Jed Simon, Kyle Kinkiel, Matt Tarach, as well as vocalist Kalen Chase and guitarist Kris Norris. VIMIC have yet to release their debut studio album, titled Open Your Omen. While fans are waiting for the band’s full-length album, they have released singles throughout, with their last being “Fail Me (My Tempo) released last year.

Jordison has also been serving drums with the band Sinsaenum, who recently released a cover of Melvin’s “Hooch” and recently released their sophomore album Repulsion for Humanity, with Mxdwn giving the album critical praise, stating “it sets the bar incredibly high for a sophomore release.” Sinsaenum is a band consisted of Frederic Leclercq of rock band Dragonforce, and Jordison.
