A Perfect Circle have premiered an apocalyptic retro-themed video for their song “So Long, And Thanks For All The Fish” directed by Kyle Cogan, according to The PRP. The track is featured on the band’s latest album, “Eat the Elephant.”
Frontman Maynard James Keenan commented on on the surreal clip, saying “welcome to the new normal.” The video is retro, and still maintains the dark imagery the band tends to include in their videos.
Last month, the band released their video for the title track on their album, “Eat the Elephant.” The video, in 2D hologram style, depicts darker imagery as well, concerning wrestling with one’s demons.
The band was formed in 1999, with guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool frontman Keenan founding. Their debut album, Mer de Noms, was released in 2000, followed by Thirteenth Step in 2003 and Emotive in 2004. After this release, the band went on hiatus, coming back together and releasing Eat the Elephant in 2017.
