Devin Townsend is busy working on releasing his post Devin Townsend Project album which is titled, Empath. The date for the record is set to be March of 2019 and though is just mere months away, fans are slowly getting teases of what to come. Lately, Townsend has been teasing fans of the record by sharing behind the scenes recording sessions. In August, the singer posted via his Twitter page of a video of the band in the studio. Not only did he share video of some of the intimate recordings of the new record, he also shared incite on the album itself.
Today, he has opened yet another window into the new album by teasing fans with another series of behind the scenes clips via another one of his social media page, according to the prp. In a series of Instagram posts, Townsend has shared not one but two videos showing Townsend hard at work recording new material. Check them out below. Townsend captioned the video clips with teases of what the new album will hold for fans; “Teen heartthrob. Some of the stuff is brutal, some commercial, some meditational, some like a Disney film. Whatever I guess… too old now to play games” So whatever is in store for fans, there will be something for everyone.
While fans wait patiently for the release Empath and for new Townsend music to rock them to sleep, take note that December is bringing more music by Townsend into their grasp. Part three of the ‘Eras’ vinyl box set reissues is slated to come out December 7th making Christmas a little more merrier. The third collection will include albums, Accelerated Evolution, Epicloud, Transcendence, Sky Blue and Live At The Royal Albert Hall. The last two have been specifically remastered for the reissue. For those who have yet to make out their Christmas wish list, here’s something to add to it.
