Rock In Rio Announces 2019 Lineup Featuring Pink, Megadeth and Black Eyed Peas

Rock in Rio announces their lineup for the 2019 festival, featuring acts Pink, Megadeth, Black Eyed Peas, and more. The festival takes place from Sept. 27-29, and Oct. 3-6 at Barra Olympic Park of Rio de Janeiro.

In addition to Pink, Megadeth, and Black Eyed Peas, the lineup also includes Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Sepultura, and Annita.

Pink is headlining the main stage, bringing the full show from her Beautiful Trauma World Tour. This will be her first performance at the festival, and her debut performance in Brazil.

Megadeth, one of the famous Big Four alongside Metallica, Anthrax, and Slayer, returns to Rock in Rio after their first performance in 1991. With founding member Dave Mustaine, David Ellefson and Dirk Verbeuren, Megadeath also has Brazilian guitarist Kiko Loureiro. 

Black Eyed Peas recently announced their first album in eight years, entitled Masters of the Sun, slated for an Oct. 26 release. The group will perform at Rock in Rio for the first time, having performed twice at Rock in Rio Lisbon. 

Iron Maiden will once again be taking the stage at Rock in Rio, having performed at the first ever date of the festival in 1985. Since then, they have performed at 3 editions of the festival, and have become a powerhouse of metal, releasing 16 studio albums over the past 40 years.

Scorpions will also be returning to Rock in Rio after performing at the first installment of the festival in 1985. They took the World Stage and performed two extraordinary shows, and now 34 years later, they are ready to do it again. Sepultura, synonymous with Brazilian metal, will open the World Stage in 2019. They are internationally known in the metal scene, and have been producing hits since they formed in 1984.

Annita will be perfoming at Rock in Rio for the first time, having performed at the Main Stage at Rock in Rio Lisbon. At only 25, she has an innumerable amount of hits, in addition to having lectured at Harvard, judging on The Voice Mexico and singing with Andrea Boccelli.

Rock in Rio will be announcing more of the lineup soon, and kicks off on Sept. 27.
