MØ @ Union Transfer 1/18

Danish electro pop star MØ just released the details about her latest North American tour. Philly pop fans are in luck, as it includes a stop at Union Transfer, early next year on January 18th. The announcement of the tour came along with the release of her new album Forever Neverland which dropped just last week. The project is just her second full studio album, although she has released two EPs and many singles since her debut album in 2014, No Mythologies to Follow. MØ is most commonly known for her 2015 single “Lean On” with Major Lazer and DJ Snake that has since become one of the most streamed songs of all time. She and Major Lazer followed that with their Justin Bieber collaboration “Cold Water” which also made waves internationally.

Forever Neverland finally arrived last week, as the long awaited album has been rumored dating back to 2015. The artist said that the four year long journey to the release of the album was littered with a search for identity along the way. MØ reminds her fans how much more she has to offer beyond the collaborations with hit making machines such as Major Lazer and Bieber. On the album, MØ shows off her vast vocal talent, and conveys her emotional experiences of the very intense last few years of her life. She also enlists the help of Diplo for “Sun in Our Eyes” which is sure to appeal to the mainstream listeners who fell in love with the singer after her commercial success. MØ is a large international talent giving us a show a 1,200 person capacity venue, so don’t hesitate to secure your ticket.
