At their concert on October 20th in West Valley, UT, A Perfect Circle lifted their no-smartphone/filming policy as they performed the final song of the night. The band, who recently released a video for their song “Eat The Elephant,” has heavenly enforced a no filming policy at all of their shows. They have even had violators removed from the venue for breaking the policy. Band member Billy Howerdel voiced his support for the policy by saying “I don’t know if guys have don’t to a play. You never take out your phone, take a video or take a picture in a play; you’re gonna get booted. Why is that any different at a rock show? And why is it any different to not be rude sticking your phone up in front of the face of the person behind you.” Although the support for this policy has been shown by band members, the policy was lifted and people were encouraged to take out their phone and record the last song of the night.
The song performed by the band was “Delicious,” a song off of their most recent album Eat The Elephant, which was released April 12, 2018. This album was their first album in 14 years, since the release of Emotive in 2004. A video of the performance can be seen below.
