Since the return of an alternative radio station to New York City last fall, ALT 92.3 are celebrating their mainstay in the city with a holiday celebration featuring some of the biggest names in alternative and indie music. On December 6, the holiday show hosted by ALT 92.3 dubbed “Not So Silent Night” will take place at Barclays Center. The current lineup for the show includes Florence + The Machine, Muse, Death Cab for Cutie, Foster the People, Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park, CHVRCHES, Bastille, and AJR.
The stacked night comes at a perfect time for several of the artists billed to perform. Florence is in the midst of promoting her latest album, High As Hope, which took her to Barclays Center for a recent show on October 9. The show followed an intimate secret set Florence performed early this summer in Greenpoint to fans from Spotify Premium a few days before her album released. Death Cab for Cutie also found themselves in New York City in support of their latest album, Thank You For Today, which dropped in August. They performed at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre earlier this month for a two-night engagement. Muse also has a new release on its way, their eighth studio album titled Simulation Theory which is expected to drop November 9. Finally, CHVRCHES released an album earlier this year, Love Is Dead, which marked the third LP for the band. With so much new music as well as old favorites to celebrate, ALT 92.3’s Not So Silent Night festival is bound to be an unforgettable way for New York City’s alternative and indie crowd to ring in the holidays. Tickets for the concert are on sale now.
