Tokyo Police Club @ Boot & Saddle 3/13/19

Canadian indie rock band Tokyo Police Club will be stopping by Boot & Saddle on their current tour in promotion of their recent album TPC. The show is scheduled for next March 13 at 8:30 PM with doors opening at 7:30.

The band was formed in 2005 with bassist and lead singer David Monks, guitarist Josh Hooks, drummer Greg Alsop, and Graham Wright on keys. The band picked up a following in Toronto, where they played local shows for a year or so until popping up on the radar of festivals such as Bonnaroo. They had a huge year in 2008 when they went on tour with Weezer following the release of their debut album Elephant Shell. They subsequently released two following albums, both of which sold incredibly well in Canada before the arrival of their newest project just last week.

TPC stays true to the roots of the band’s upbeat and unrelenting nature. After growing apart and taking some time off from music, Tokyo Police Club comes back together and delivers the catchy hooks and energetic sound they built themselves on. The band known for releasing good music that’s better in concert seems to be going steady with that narrative, as this record is built for a live audience.
