Earlier this year Massachusetts-based indie group Speedy Ortiz released their third full-length album Twerp Verse, which features their signature “disconnected and distorted sound”. Keeping consistent with the sound of the album is their new single DTMFA which will debut on Adult Swim Singles this week.
DTMFA (which stands for Dump The Mother Fucker Already) sounds simultaneously confusing and pleasing, reminiscent of psychedelic rock blended with modern indie pop.
Speedy Ortiz is currently on tour, opening for Liz Phair. The band recently covered Phair’s “Blood Keeper” before they went on tour this Fall.
