Iron Reagan Chug and Thrash Their Way Through Righteous New Song “The Devastation”

Crossover thrash hardcore punk outfit Iron Reagan has unveiled a new track from their upcoming EP Dark Days Ahead. The song, titled “The Devastation,” is a followup to lead single “Patronizer,” which the band dropped last month, adding a poppy twist to the band’s usual thrashing affair.

“The Devastation” is about as punk as Iron Reagan ever really gets, employing classic punk breakbeats to create a “dead serious,” driving sound that contrasts with the accessibility of “Patronizer.”

The EP will be dropping October 12 via Pop Wig Records owned by Trapped Under Ice. “Possessed of the band’s lethal affinity for dirty crossover-thrash/hardcore tracks, the five new songs are among the most riff-tastic in the band’s already burgeoning discography,” reads the band’s press release.

Frontman Tony Foresta has said that some of the songs off of Dark Days Ahead were written during the sessions for 2017’s fantastic full-length Crossover Ministry. The band’s previous release was a well-received split with Gatecreeper, appropriately titled Iron Reagan / Gatecreeper.
