Alternative rock legends Failure have announced that the band has finished recording sessions for the final installment in Failure’s series of release this year. After releasing three EPs this year, the final effort will be a full-length release that combines material from these recent sessions with previously released songs.
The full album title is taken from the titles of the previous EPs, and will include one final phrase. So far, the title currently stands at “In the Future Your Body Will be the Furthest Thing…”
For fans who simply cannot wait to find out the name of the album, take a look at Autolux, Failure bassist / guitarist Greg Edwards’ other shoegaze and/or space rock project. On the discogs page for the reissue of the band’s debut LP Future Perfect, under the Barcode and Other Identifiers section, take a look. And for fans who want a tl;dr, the title will most likely be “In the Future Your Body Will be the Furthest Thing from Your Mind.”
Failure released three incredible, well-received albums between its original tenure from 1990 to 1997. They released the phenomenal Comfort in 1992, an even more phenomenal Magnified in 1994, and undoubtedly the critical favorite Fantastic Planet in 1996, which includes the band’s standout songs “Stuck On You” and “Saturday Saviour.”
After breaking up in 1997, the band reformed in 2014 before releasing a fantastic comeback project in 2015 titled The Heart is a Monster to great critical acclaim.
