The Chemical Brothers Shares New Anthem “Free Yourself”

Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons of The Chemical Brothers have just released “Free Yourself” a new favorite during summer festivals across Europe. The release comes out days ahead of the groups two sold-out shows at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace on October 5 and 6.

The Chemical Brothers are experimental and genius pioneers of electronic music, being one of the first groups worldwide who have paved the way for other artists. The group has sold more than 12 million albums and six million singles worldwide. They have six No. 1 albums in the U.K. and were the first electronic act ever to receive a GRAMMY, winning in the Best Rock Instrumental Performance category for “Block Rockin’ Beats” – the first of their four GRAMMY wins.

The group has made music since 1989, stretching back to the early 90’s where collaborations with Noel Gallagher from Oasis began. The group has achieved great success in the UK and US where they have performed shows displaying large screens baring psychadelic images, strobe lights and lasers. The group later collaborated with artists such as Hope Sandoval, Q-Tip, The Flaming Lips and many more. The Chemical Brothers have worked on films such as Hanna, Black Swan and The Hunger Games – Mockingjay -Part 1. They have eight albums, including Exit Planet Dust (1995), Dig Your Own Hole (1997), Surrender (1999), Come With Us (2002), Push The Button (2005), We Are The Night (2007), Further (2010) and Born in the Echoes (2015).

In 2015, the legendary duo released their GRAMMY-nominated album, Born In The Echoes, which featured collaborations with such artists as St. Vincent and Beck, plus visual experimentation with Oscar-winning director Michel Gondry (Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Science of Sleep, The Green Hornet) and in virtual reality with Chris Milk.
