Rage Against the Machine Announces Vinyl Reissues of Entire Discography

Rage Against the Machine have announced upcoming reissues of their entire discography. All five albums will be fully remastered and available on vinyl. The reissues are available for preorder on Rage Against the Machine’s website, including extras such as different bundles with custom T-shirts. The albums will be released on September 28.

Rage Against the Machine recently sent right-wing British pundit and politician Nigel Farage cease and desist letter for using their band name in the title of his podcast, claiming he had “unlawfully [exploited]” the name Rage Against the Machine and its moniker. The group called out Farrage in their letter, stating “your anti-immigrant rhetoric, lack of social compassion and barely disguised racism and xenophobia are the antithesis of RATM stands for” and “stop using RATM’s name and logo, change the name of your podcast and find some other target to troll. We suggest President Trump.”

Elsewhere, Rage Against The Machine/Public Enemy/Cypress Hill supergroup  Prophets of Rage released new single “Heart Afire” from their upcoming album which is expected to drop sometime this year. It will be the their second album and is confirmed to consist of 13 songs.

They released their self-titled debut record in 2017, their name deriving from a song on the 1988 Public Enemy album It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back.

Meanwhile, Morello has announced his upcoming solo album The Atlas Underground, due out on October 12. The multi-genre album will feature guest appearances from Killer Mike, Big Boi, RZA, GZA, Bassnectar, Portugal The Man, Gary Clark Jr., Steve Aoki, and more.
