Original Motion Picture Soundtrack for Joan Jett Documentary Bad Reputation Featuring New Song with Laura Jane Grace and Miley Cyrus Announced for September 2018 Release

recently released new songJoan Jett and now the official announcement of the soundtrack for the new rock-doc about her musical career has been announced. The record will be released via Legacy Recordings and come out on September 29.

The record will be called Bad Reputation: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack and it’ll include Jett’s latest song, “Fresh Start.” Among contributions from Bikini Kill, members of the Sex Pistols and The Runaways, there’ll be a special collaboration on the album. On the unreleased track “Androgynous,” Laura Jane Grace of Against Me!, Miley Cyrus and Jett will collaborate. That’ll be one can’t-miss track. Another addition to the soundtrack is a rendition of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” recorded when Jett performed with the surviving members of Nirvana at the 2014 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction in Brooklyn, New York.

Also, as part of the announcement, Sony Music Entertainment, the parent company of Legacy Recordings, has come to a deal to the worldwide rights to Jett’s catalog.
