Emma Ruth Rundle Shares Hauntingly Aesthetic Music Video for “Light Song”

Emma Ruth Rundle is only days away of releasing her third full-length album On Dark Horses. Before unleashing the record, Rundle has shared a music video for her new track, “Light Song.” According to the press release, the new track and its accompanying video “celebrates a completely new chapter for the songwriter.”

The video for “Light Song” is directed by Danielle Elise Bartley and begins with Rundle’s silhouette staring out at the water. It then shifts to Rundle sitting alone in a room sewing a veil. The clips also feature her collaborator and partner Evan Patterson of Jaye Jayle who lends his vocals to the track.

Rundle is no stranger is mirroring her life into her music. When she and Patterson got together (which resulted in their split EP The Time Between Us in 2017), Rundle packed up her life on the west coast and moved to Patterson’s hometown of Louisville. A fish out of water, the idea of shifting your whole life and making new roots is the essence of Rundle’s new record. According to the press release, “Rundle’s new environment is as much of a character throughout the album as she herself.”

Her album, On Dark Horses will be available to purchase and stream this Friday, September 14th via Sargent House. Fans can pre-order the album by clicking here. With the release this weekend, Emma Ruth Rundle will celebrate her new album by touring the rest of the year. Starting September 15th in Louisville, Rundle will kick off her fall tour by going up and down the east coast with a performance at the All Senses Music Festival in Davenport, Iowa. Rundle will continue on overseas throughout October and November performing all across Europe before returning to the west coast November 30th for the duration of her tour. She will make stops in cities such as Nashville, Phoenix, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Salt Lake City wrapping up in Kansas City on December 17th.
