The Black Queen are “Thrown Into The Dark” on New Song from Sophomore Album

The Black Queen, which consists of Greg Puciato (ex-Dillinger Escape Plan), Josh Eustis (Telefon Tel Aviv) and Steven Alexander Ryan (Nine Inch Nails/A Perfect Circle technician) have released a new song “Thrown Into the Dark” in advance of the release of their sophomore record, Infinite Games, which is set to drop later this month, as reported by The PRP. The song was premiered on the BBC Radio 1’s Rock Show with Daniel P Carter. The track is a dark web of eerie synths, slamming drum beats, and a melodic vocal line from Puciato, who shows off his impressive range. There is also plenty of dark guitar lines running through the track, giving it a dark ’80s new wave vibe.

With the Dillinger Escape Plan permanently broken up, it appears that the Black Queen will be the main creative output for Puciato for the time being. The last release from the Black Queen came in the form of 2016’s excellent Fever Daydream.
