AlunaGeorge is one of those once-in-a-lifetime musician duos that carries the music industry with her supremely surreal lyrics and emotion. Now, as Pitchfork has stated, AlunaGeorge has announced their newest EP aptly titled Champagne Eyes. The new EP will be released this October 5th, but if you need something new then have no fear. The duo has released a new song from the EP titled “Superior Emotion” and features music triple-threat Cautious Clay, based in Brooklyn.
The song open with some soft chords and rhythm before the lyrics come in, giving it more of a beat and attitude. Throughout the entire track, the music stays soft, crisp, and calming, but doesn’t give in to being boring. The dup and Cautious Clay expertly uses a hi-hat and snare to push the song forward while also using the lyrics in more of a manner of vibes than verses. The new EP Champagne Eyes is the follow up the AlunaGeorge’s last album release in 2016 for I Remember, which featured a slew of the greats like Flume, Popcaan, and many more.
