Donald Glover, stage name Childish Gambino, has had a long, successful, and prominent career as an actor, comedian, and rapper.  He began his career in 2002. He first came into the spotlight when he was hired by Tina Fey at age 23 as a writer for the NBC Sitcom 30 Rock.

He dove into music soon after. He self-released many albums and mixtapes. In 2011, he signed to Glassnote Records. With this label he released his first album, Camp, which gained very positive reviews. He has since released albums Because the Internet, Awaken My Love! and This Is America. “Redbone” from Awaken My Love! earned him a Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance. And in 2018, the release of his “This is America” video debuted at the top of Hot 100.
