After a summer traversing the country together on the final Vans Warped Tour, pop punk outfits Broadside and With Confidence are joining forces for a US co-headlining tour. Joining them will be Sleep On It and Small Talks, the former also toured this summer on Warped Tour. The tour will span 24 cities and 17 states, kicking off on November 14 in Los Angeles and finishing out on December 14 in Anaheim. Along the way, the tour will hit New York City at Brooklyn’s Knitting Factory on November 30. Both bands are excited to join forces again. They met on the 2016 Warped Tour after playing the same stage, followed by touring together on Broadside’s first ever UK tour in 2017. Broadside frontman, Ollie Baxxter, says, “This tour is going to be wild, we are excited to play with some of our good friends!” For those lamenting the loss of Warped Tour, this co-headlining tour sounds like an apt antidote.
Both bands originate from opposite sides of the world, with Broadside finding their roots in Richmond, Virginia and With Confidence hailing from Australia. They have each made a big splash in the pop punk scene, becoming Warped Tour veterans and signing to popular emo labels Victory Records and Hopeless Records, respectively. Broadside’s 2015 Victory debut LP, Old Bones, lent much success to the band, featuring popular single “Coffee Talk.” They followed the record with their 2017 release, Paradise, teaming up with Kyle Black, who has produced music for New Found Glory and All Time Low. With Confidence have reached global success, their Hopeless debut album, Better Weather, landing them number 22 on Australia’s ARIA Charts. The album features their hit single, “Voldemort.” Their 2018 follow up dropped this July, Love and Loathing, which the band had the opportunity to perform songs from on Warped Tour.
Cure your Warped Tour blues this November and catch Broadside and With Confidence’s joint tour at their Knitting Factory gig with support from Sleep On It and Small Talks. Tickets are on sale now.
